<p><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:12px">The Continuous Connection Method (CCM) is widely used for the analysis of laterally loaded multi-bay shear walls. In this study, the static and free vibration analyses of elastically supported, multi-bay shear walls, having a finite number of stiffen ing beams and flexible connections between their piers and connecting beams, are considered. In the static analysis, at first, the connecting beams are replaced by a continuous laminated medium with equivalent bending stiffness, and then, the solution has been carried, out by writing down the compatibility equations at the midpoints of the laminae and the stiffening beams. In the analysis, the boundarv conditions have been written down, assuming that the bottom of each pier in the wall is elastically supported by vertical, horizontal and rotational springs of equivalent stiffnesses to that of the foundation. In the free vibration, analysis, the stiffness matrix is found using the CCM for the unit loadings of the system, representing it by the lumped mass assumption. Substituting the stiffness matrix and the mass matrix, found by the lumped mass assumption, in the free vibration equation, the natural frequencies and the corresponding mode shape vectors are found. In the numerical applications part, the results obtained by the analyses using CCM are compared with those found by using the SAP2000 structural analysis program.</span></p>
