<div> School counselors function as educators, trainers, and consultants for students,</div> <div> parents, teachers in schools and private courses. In this study the mobbing and life</div> <div> satisfaction levels of school counselors were studied via data collected through the voluntary participation of 91 school counselors who were working in the urban</div> <div> elementary and secondary in Antalya. For data collection, the Negative Acts</div> <div> questionnaire developed by Einarsen & Raknes (1997) and translated into Turkish by</div> <div> Cemaloğlu (2007) and the Life Satisfaction questionnaire developed by Diener,</div> <div> Emmons, Larsen & Griffin (1985) and adopted into Turkish by Köker and Yetim</div> <div> (1991) were used. According to results of the research, high school counselors were</div> <div> exposed to mobbing significantly more than preschools counselors when the point</div> <div> averages in the subdimensions of mobbing in the workplace and preventing</div> <div> communication from occurring, attack on individual life quality and professional</div> <div> position, and attack on personal integrity and social relations were compared. The</div> <div> average points of the subdimensions of mobbing according to gender and age variables</div> <div> did not indicate a significant variation. It was also found that life satisfaction level did</div> <div> not vary significantly according to the school type, gender and age variables.</div>
