Proje Özeti

Within Erasmus+, a training course is a project where youth workers and youth leaders come together for several days to develop their knowledge, skills, and attitudes on a certain theme. The daily programme of the course is based on learning objectives and facilitated by experienced trainers. The training courses promote the initiative and creativity of participants and have a direct impact on their future youth work or youth policy activities, such as organising quality projects and providing intercultural and non-formal learning experiences for young people. Altogether, 28 people from Estonia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Spain, and Turkey took part in the project. The overall aim and specific objectives of the project: AIM: Enhance competencies of youth workers to use simulations as a tool to understand better and promote values. OBJECTIVES: - Awareness about diversity, solidarity, inclusion, active participation. - Explore simulations as an effective tool. - Using existing simulations and adapting them. - Include simulations and value promotion in youth work. - Implement a simulation activity with local youth. - Networking among participants. - Develop future international youth project ideas. Main contents and activities of the project: Training course "Simulations as a Tool for Promoting Values" Trainer/s: Antonio Benaches (Spain) is a youth worker since 1997 and active trainer in international youth projects since 2003. Ieva Grundšteine (Latvia) has been working in the youth field since 2001 and is an active trainer of non-formal learning in the field of youth. Among the results of the project are the following: - Competences and motivation to use simulations to promote values - 8 sessions with simulations by trainers and participants - Follow-up activities for other youth workers and local youth - Online library with project materials for any youth workers interested - New international youth projects
