Özet

Common prostate diseases in dogs are benign prostatic hyperplasia, acute and chronic prostatitis, prostate cysts and abscess, prostate tumors and are closely related to castration. In many cases, clinical findings are asymptomatic or non-specific, making their diagnosis difficult. Therefore, the prevalence of prostatic diseases is higher than expected. A definitive diagnosis is essential in order to begin the most appropriate medical or surgical treatment. The aim of this review to lay down the etiology, clinical findings, diagnostic methods and treatment options of common prostate diseases, including the latest developments.
