Özet

Do the DNA repair activities contribute aging or death? Probably, DNA repair mechanisms and programmed cell death namely, apoptosis have been evoluated to prevention of going to immortality. First of all, human being dream is immortality. On the other hand, the biggest fear of human being is aging and death. Actually, the nature solved this equation with three unknowns long time ago. "Long survival as possible as without tend immortality and to die finally." The immortality is a chaos for evalution and nature on the contrary of the opinion of human being. The mechanisms of evolution has been improved for eliminating this chaos, The most. important evolution mechanisms are DNA repair mechanisms. Probably, DNA repair mechanism has been arised early, on evolution and functioned on all living things. The complex cell has complex repair mechanisms. For the continuing of species, genome must be stabil and correctly transferred to next generation. The cell must struggle with many factors for the protection of DNA structure stability. The most importants of these factors are Reactive oxigen species (ROS) and ionized radiation, The coast of this struggle is aging of the cell and organism. To survival by aging is the moderate way of death for being alive longer and not to be cancer or immortal. In this review, the mechanisms which are known at the present day; DNA repair mechanisms and relations between these mechanisms and relations between these mechanisms and aging, cancer disease and factors caused oxidative damage will be mentioned.
