Özet

Tomato is one of the leading products which are grown economically and production increases continuously in the world as well as in Turkey. In recent years, as its positive implications on human health are revealed, the tomato consumption has risen not only for its taste but also for health purposes. With this study, it is aimed to determine the effects of different training systems and planting density combinations on receiving higher yield without losing from quality charecteristics. Three different training systems and different planting densities (low and high) were applied without pinching treatment in a research conducted in an unheated greenhouse at Akdeniz University, Faculty of Agriculture. During the production in the unheated greenhouse, the parameters such as total yield, titratable acidity quantity, soluble solid content, vitamine C, fruit color, fruit fresh firmness and fruit flesh thickness and uptake of plant nutrition elements were examined. Sensitivity analyses were also conducted to see whether there were differences in implementations from the point of view of consumers.
