Antrenörlük mesleğinin gerektirdiği en önemli özellik, sporu ve sporcuyu sevmektir. Bu araştırmanın amacı çocuklarla sürekli etkileşim içinde olan Antrenörlerin çocukları sevme düzeylerini ve bunu etkileyen faktörleri ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma betimsel bir çalışmadır. Araştırma Antalya’da yaşayan 100 Antrenör ile yapılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Duyan ve Gelbal (2008) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan “Barnett Çocuk Sevme Ölçeği” uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde frekans, yüzdelik, aritmetik ortalama, T ve F testi kullanılmıştır. Antrenörlerin çocukları sevme düzeyleri ortalamanın (x:86,20±10,65) üzerindedir. Araştırmaya katılan Antrenörlerin kaçıncı kademe Antrenörlük belgesine sahip oldukları ile çocukları sevme düzeylerine ilişkin aldıkları puanlar karşılaştırıldığında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur (p<0,05). Diğer faktörler ise (cinsiyet, yaş, eğitim durumu, anne-babanın eğitim durumu, ekonomik durum) Antrenörlerin çocuklara ilişkin tutumları üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark oluşturmamaktadır (p>0,05). Sonuç olarak bireysel sporlarda birinci kademe Antrenörler, takım sporlarında ise ikinci, üçüncü ve dördüncü kademe Antrenörlerin çocuk sevme düzeyleri daha yüksek bulunmuştur.

The most important feature of the profession of coaching is to love sport and athletes. The purpose of this research is put forward the levels for coaches' love of the children who are in continuous interaction with the children and the factors affecting it. It is a descriptive study. Research was conducted with 100 coaches (Football) living in Antalya. As a means of data collection, Barnett’s Liking of Children Scale that was adapted to Turkish by Duyan and Gelbal (2008) was applied. Frequency, percentage, mean, T and F tests were used for the analysis of data. The levels of coaches' like of the children (x:86.20±10.65) are over the average. Statistically significant differences were found when the stage of the coaches participating in the research and scores for their levels of liking the children are compared (p <0.05). Other factors (gender, age, education level, parents' education level, economic status) do not cause a statistically significant difference (p> 0.05) on the attitudes of coaches to children. As a result, the first stage coaches have higher levels of liking children in individual sports while the second, third and fourth stage coaches have higher levels of liking children in team sports.
