Özet

This study was conducted between the months of January 1994 and October 1994. Totally 792 serum samples collected from 442 aborting ewes and 350 slaughtered ewes were examined for Salmonella abortus ovis antibodies. In tube agglutination test with Salmonella abortus ovis O antigen, 4.29 % of aborting ewes and 4.85 % of slaughtered ewes were found to be seropositive. As a result, the sero-prevalence of Salmonella abortus ovis in sheep in and around was determined as 4.54 %.
