Özet

In this study road lighting, over the photo taken from the illuminated road, can be tested according to the standards on the CIE's publication, numbered 115, dated 1995, titled ''Recommendations for the Lighting of Roads for Motor and Pedesterian Traffic''. A test system which is different from methods based on conventional measurement tools, is developed. With the new software; using the image processing technics, a relation is established between the quantitative points of pixels and the photometric units is documented. By the help of this relation, transition among photometric units can be ensured. This test system can make the estimation of photometric data of road and visibility level of objects that are involved in road lighting area. For making the results more understandable, color maps are designed by using the luminance value of the illuminated road.
