Özet

In this study, literature on reverse logistics is examined and academic articles tackling with reverse logistics applications in Turkey have been classified in a systematic way. Articles determined thorugh searches in different databases with various keywords, are analyzed with the content analysis method which is commonly utilized in literature review studies. As a result of the assessments conducted, it is seen that the majority of the application articles in Turkey on reverse logistics have been given on network design and have used mixed integer models. As the solution techniques, on the other hand, it is observed that generally optimization softwares are used but novel solution algorithms have not been developed. In studies which do not include mathematical models, mostly simple statistical methods are utilized. Based on these findings, it may be concluded that in future studies addressing different problems such as forecasting of products to be collected, most efficient recovery techniques, and collaboration among the players of the reverse chain would be useful. In this regard, this study makes important contributions in terms of observing the state of and the gaps in the literature on this field in Turkey and determining the subjects that should be examined in future studies, and also provides directions to researchers in this field.
