Özet

Appraisal of aesthetics in literature has a natural attachment with the exploration of language arts, which paves the path to deciphering the stylistic features that embellish a text. The triangulation of aesthetics, language arts, and style is embodied in poetic language, ornamenting the conventional syntactic system of language through manipulative reformations that alter semantic facets. Thus, variety in semantic interpretations adds value to aesthetic and stylistic features in poetry. This interwoven nature of literary text variables of aesthetics, arts, and style is enchanting as well as demanding regarding comprehension. There is a common opinion that poetry is among the forms of high art and language; besides, focusing on poetry as a textual inquiry is a cognitive, linguistic, and aesthetic endeavor. Since pedagogy targets facilitation by suggesting cognitively digestible input, it enables pragmatic approaches to poetry's aesthetic and stylistic features that require high competence in comprehension and interpretation. This study aims to suggest a method of inquiry into a selected set of poems to interpret semantic relations constructed through textual organizations of syntax, which enables the internationalization of the aesthetic aspects involved. Poems by Richard Adams and Ezra Pound are the corpus of inquiry to explain the syntactical appropriations utilized to transform language into art.
